Bioletics Partners With YMCA’s New Triathlon Program
California YMCA To Serve as Pilot for National Rollout

BEND, OR, SEPT. 20, 2011: Bioletics, a leader in at-home nutritional assessments and counseling for athletes, announced today it has been selected as a preferred partner for Y-TRI, the YMCA’s new pilot triathlon training program for both amateurs and professionals.

Created by the YMCA/Riverside’s Ron Kushner and nationally recognized triathlon coach Ben Greenfield, the Riverside Y-TRI initiative is serving as a national pilot program to be adopted by YMCA fitness facilities across the country throughout the coming year.

Bioletics will provide physiological assessments options as well as nutritional counseling services to Y-TRI’s participants with the goal of scientifically identifying and eliminating the biological obstacles standing between the athletes and their best possible performance.

“In partnering with Bioletics, we can now provide athletes with access to the targeted nutritional support they need to improve their overall health and performance,” explains Kushner, Master’s Swim and Triathlon Program Director at the YMCA/Riverside.

Greenfield believes that the longer and harder athletes push, the more likely they are to develop a biological imbalance or deficiency. He added, “With the advent of home-based assessment options, coaches are beginning to encourage athletes to re-think the relationship between their fitness and their health. It’s becoming increasingly clear that one does not necessarily lead to the other.”
